We had a few challenges with moving in and adjustments
here in Kasungu. That's why we didn't do our blog for 3 weeks.
But we are now moved in and dealing with the challenges.
One challenge was no air conditioning and no fans for the first two nights. This is how Grandpa slept through the night. We now have fans and the landlord will be putting in air con next month. |
Every day we have been in Kasungu it has rained.
And wow does it pour at times.
This prickly ball showed up. It is actually a hedgehog all curled up in a ball, it's defensive stance. |
The highlight of the week was teaching families with the missionaries.
4 missionaries from Lilongwe came up Friday and stayed overnight
with us teaching families both Friday and Saturday.
We had 30 families set up for them to teach over the two days.
It was a whirlwind but we were very impressed with
the sincerity and desire of these people. We have averaged about
120 people at church each week. They are all hoping to be baptized soon.
Below are some pictures of a few of the families or groups of families.
Kamanga Family. They live 6 kms from church but have been faithful at attending. Takes them about 1 hr to walk each way. |
The Banda family. Very sharp family. Sister Pulsipher loves having the 3 youngest girls in Primary. |
Two single sisters and their families and a single brother. |
3 more families. |
Sister Ireen. She is such a nice lady. We asked her to give a talk at church and she did a wonderful job. |
The Moyo family. He is the only member of the church in Kasungu. |
3 more families. |
2 more families |
We have a little family living on the property here.
They take care of the grounds and provide security during the day.
We love little Wisdom. He's a big helper.
